Reggie's new truck and new standards of compliance.
Our new truck brings new opportunities to go where we have never gone before! Please make a note that there are major changes happening at present with all NZ tankered water deliveries.
Numerous requirements are being introduced to our industry via the Ministry Of Health Dept. as we speak, of course some of these changes will incur costs that will unfortunately be passed on to the customer.
In light of the Havelock North contamination last year (August 2016), There is an onus for all TWDNZ to produce written delivery documentation with all deliveries made, regular tanker sterilization, including tanker water samples must be submitted to M.O.H, a comprehensive Water Safety Plan (WSP), must also be documented and carried onboard at all times of operation. The emphasis of all these changes appear to be aimed at "eliminating the cowboys" from the industry, and what defines a cowboy appears to lay within all the newly introduced regulations, and requirements currently being introduced.
Having said all the above data folks; we are still as compliant as we were from day one of operations over a decade ago, we have and are implementing the requirements being asked of us, we still only use our dedicated stainless steel tanker for all drinking water deliveries, and maintain high standards of compliance including using only M.O.H approved drinking water sources, so the only real noticeable difference to the changes at present appear to be the extra costs we are paying in order to remain compliant with the newly introduced standards now in place for the NZ tanker industry, but we'll keep you posted as time moves forward team!
